Kristen Anne Bell, born 1980 in the US of America, is an actress as well as a performer. Bell is born in 1980 and is a Michigan native, born and raised by her parents, Lorelei Frygier (a nurse) and Tom Bell (a TV news director). Her ancestry is Polish (mother) and German, English, Irish as well as Scottish (father). Kristen realized her potential in the entertainment industry in her early years. She was just 12 when she attended her first audition. She was successful and got the role of Raggedy Ann and Andy. Bell's mom signed her up at an agency prior to when turning 13 years old. She then appeared in television advertisements as well as newspaper advertisements. She also started taking private acting classes around this time. Bell had an uncredited role in the movie Polish Wedding (1998) in 1998. Bell attended Shrine Catholic High School where she was involved in music and drama clubs. She won the starring role of Dorothy in her high school's production of The Wizard of Oz. Bell was then transferred in New York City, to the Tisch School of the Arts. She studied musical theater at the Tisch School of the Arts. Bell dropped out of school in 2001 to take on the role Becky of Tom Sawyer. That same year, she had her first credit debut in Pootie Tang (2001), but her scene was cut and her character was not shown in the credits sequence. The year 2002 saw her first major role. Bell made an appearance as a character in her first Broadway revival of The Crucible with Liam Neeson and Angela Bettis.
