As a young, successful singer-songwriter she is already one of history's best selling artists. Her parents hail from Barbados and she began singing in the early years of her life. Afraid of the chaos in her family and the constant arguments between her parents she immersed her self in music. She before long realized that she wanted to be a professional musician. The group she formed was a musical one when she was still in high school and had the opportunity to take part in an audition for music producer Evan Rodgers who was highly impressed with the talent of the young girl. He requested for the teenager to move in New York and pursue a professional singing career. Rihanna jumped at the chance to take it.
